Compatibility

Not everyone in your life
is a marriage match.

Friends, colleagues, siblings, someone you've started seeing. A birthday and a city is enough — no birth certificate, no score out of thirty-six, and nothing saved.

The frame changes the reading

Guna Milan is a good instrument pointed at one question. Its eight kootas measure marital factors specifically — sexual compatibility, household wellbeing, progeny — and they need two accurate birth times to mean anything.

Point that at a friendship and you get a number about the wrong subject, calculated from a time you had to invent. So this is built from the ground up for the relationships that aren't marriages.

Four lenses

Compatibility without a birth time

Choosing the relationship reorders what gets read first and changes how it's written. What matters between co-founders is not what matters between siblings.

Friends

How you two are together day to day — whose pace sets the plan, and what each of you needs after a hard week.

Colleagues

A manager, a report, a co-founder. Read for how decisions get made and where the friction will show up under pressure.

Family

A parent, a sibling, an in-law. The relationships you didn't choose and can't leave, which is exactly why knowing the shape helps.

Dating, without the marriage-matching frame. No score, no verdict, and nothing about whether you should.

Questions

About reading two people

How is this different from the Match page?add

The Match page runs Ashtakoota Guna Milan, which answers one question — should these two marry — and needs both exact birth times. This answers how two people get on, works from a birthday and a city, and reads for the relationship you actually have. Both are real; they are just not interchangeable.

Why not just use Guna Milan for a friend?add

Because the marriage framing doesn't transfer. Yoni koota scores sexual compatibility and Bhakoot reads shared household wellbeing. Presenting either to someone checking how they get on with their manager isn't a translation problem, it's the wrong reading entirely.

I don't know their birth time. Does this still work?add

Yes, and that's the point of it. Nobody knows their colleague's exact minute of birth. Most of what's read here comes from the Moon sign, which needs only the date and place. Where the time genuinely matters the reading tells you which part it couldn't resolve rather than guessing.

What if the Moon changed sign that day?add

The Moon crosses a sign boundary about every two and a third days, so with no birth time it sometimes genuinely cannot be pinned down. When that happens Arivyah says the Moon is uncertain instead of quietly assuming noon — a guessed Moon produces a confident reading of the wrong person.

Where's the compatibility percentage?add

There isn't one, deliberately. Compressing how two people get on into a single number is the thing that makes compatibility readings feel like a slot machine, and it throws away everything usable. You get the dimensions instead, each with what it actually measured.

Is anything I enter here saved?add

No. Unlike a saved chart there's no report to keep consistent and no PDF to render later, so storing it would only accumulate records of other people's birth data for no benefit. The reading is computed, shown, and gone when you leave.
